We are in search of a skilled Construction Project Manager to lead and manage all facets of construction initiatives, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards through effective management and coordination of on-site operations.

This includes a remarkable trio of buildings with over 400 residential units, vibrant street-level retail, and a pedestrian promenade connecting to the waterfront; a unique residential project in a rapidly growing community; and the stylish conversion of a historic downtown office building into modern urban living spaces. These projects represent just a fraction of the exciting developments currently underway.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Project Oversight:
- Manage on-site construction activities, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building regulations.
Design and Planning:
- Evaluate project plans and specifications, providing insights on design, scheduling, cost efficiencies, and potential construction challenges.
Resource Management:
- Oversee the acquisition of labor, materials, and equipment, assisting in monthly budget forecasts and financial management.
Timeline Management:
- Assist in the development of project schedules, tracking timelines, budgets, and resources on a weekly basis.
Inspections and Documentation:
- Coordinate inspections and ensure the timely preparation of 'as-built' drawings by all trades, enforcing quality control standards.
Communication and Coordination:
- Maintain regular communication with project architects, engineers, and stakeholders, ensuring accurate documentation of project progress.
Deficiency Resolution:
- Prepare and expedite project deficiency lists, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Guide and mentor a high-performing team effectively.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience, including at least 2 years in a similar role as a Construction Project Manager for residential development or renovation projects.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant industry software.
Industry Knowledge:
- Strong technical understanding of the Canadian construction industry, including planning, scheduling, quality control, and trade-related practices.
Certifications:
- Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations. Certification in carpentry or a related construction trade is advantageous.
Leadership Abilities:
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Experience in team management is preferred.
