Job Title: Chief Operating Officer

We are seeking a highly experienced and ambitious Chief Operating Officer to lead our operations team and drive business growth.

About the Role

The Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for leading initiatives that drive operational excellence, minimizing costs, and enhancing plant quality. This includes developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational improvements, ensuring cross-departmental collaboration, and fostering a unified team to enhance customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horticulture, agribusiness, or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in leading operations in the manufacturing industry. They will be able to make strategic decisions and translate them into operational plans, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead initiatives to drive operational excellence and minimize costs
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to drive operational improvements
  • Ensure cross-departmental collaboration and foster a unified team
  • Manage the cultivation, operations, and maintenance departments
  • Play a leading role in the company's expansion efforts
  • Contribute to team development and participate in shaping the future organization
Requirements
  • At least a BSc/MSc graduation in Horticulture, Agribusiness, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in leading operations in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience in scaling up companies, preferably within a manufacturing company
  • Knowledge of horticulture and preferably of propagation is advantageous
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
