Position Summary
The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing store activities, including opening and closing procedures, while overseeing daily operations and staff during assigned shifts.

This position ensures that the store maintains its appearance and product presentation according to company standards and serves as a resource for team members. Responsibilities encompass supervising personnel, assisting cashiers, delivering exceptional customer service, managing cash, performing administrative tasks, setting security alarms, and ensuring the front of the store remains clean and organized.

All Retail Operations Supervisors are expected to exemplify compliance and education, leading by example, providing guidance, and reinforcing company standards. This role also involves escalating employee issues and customer inquiries to store management for resolution.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Open and close the retail store, including managing security alarms.
  • Welcome and assist customers, setting a standard for staff conduct.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service; foster relationships with customers, recommend products, and inform them of promotions.
  • Support team member onboarding, training, and ongoing education.
  • Encourage team commitment to exceptional service standards, exceeding customer expectations.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints professionally.
  • Assist in implementing sales strategies and motivate the sales team to meet targets.
  • Communicate updates regarding policies, procedures, products, and promotions.
  • Identify and propose technology solutions to enhance customer experiences.
  • Escalate team member concerns to management.
  • Act as a champion of education and compliance.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the retail sector.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience in customer service is essential.
  • Clear criminal background check.
  • Provincial Cannabis Certification is required.
Working Environment
  • Manual dexterity is necessary for using computers and peripherals.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
