Role Overview

The Lead Information Security Analyst plays a crucial role in safeguarding enterprise data and enhancing service delivery in areas such as data identification, encryption, certificate and key management, as well as data loss prevention (DLP) strategies. This position emphasizes the importance of robust practices and procedures, ensuring that appropriate tools are employed effectively. Collaboration with Security Architecture, IT, and business stakeholders is essential to execute the roadmap and strategy for Data Protection while driving continuous improvement in data security capabilities. An on-call component is part of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of PKI and Certificate Management processes.
  • Manage Data-at-Rest Encryption solutions, ensuring their effectiveness and reliability.
  • Act as the Administrator for all cryptographic key activities.
  • Conduct Cryptographic reviews in partnership with various business units.
  • Generate and present regular reports and metrics related to Certificate and Key Management.
  • Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Enhance and maintain the Data Loss Protection (DLP) platform.
  • Provide technical support for all aspects of DLP technologies.
  • Proactively monitor and maintain the DLP platform, ensuring its optimal performance.
  • Handle daily operations related to DLP, including Incident Triage, Discovery Scanning, and Escalations.
  • Utilize hands-on experience with Data Protection tools and technologies, such as CASB and Data Classification tools.
  • Support investigations of DLP incidents as required.
  • Serve as an expert in cyber security incident resolution and analysis.
  • Collaborate with project teams to support ongoing activities and deliverables.
  • Assist colleagues and serve as a point of contact for inquiries regarding cryptography and data protection technologies.
  • Investigate and respond to critical endpoint security incidents.
  • Coordinate and finalize information security operations documentation.
  • Develop security processes and procedures while supporting SLAs to ensure effective management of security controls.
  • Recommend corrective actions to maintain compliance with established security standards.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to security policies and procedures.
  • Analyze data trends to inform risk-based decision-making.
  • Implement cybersecurity and privacy principles in line with organizational requirements.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure appropriate data storage and protection measures are in place.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in Information Security.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in Key Management Life Cycle processes, including Key Generation, Storage, Distribution, Backup, Rotation, Revocation, and Destruction.
  • Hands-on experience with TLS, PKI, HSMs, KMIP, and Digital Certificate Management.
  • Familiarity with security technologies, particularly Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
  • Possession of one or more security certifications such as GIAC, CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CEH.
  • Experience with various technologies, including DLP Tools, MS Defender, CASB Solutions, and MDM Solutions.
  • Basic Windows/Linux administration experience.
  • Knowledge of cloud security infrastructure.
  • Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Awareness of data lineage and classification for informed risk assessment.
  • Familiarity with Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards.
  • Knowledge of network management tools (e.g., Nslookup, Ping, Traceroute) is advantageous.
  • Understanding of PIPEDA and GDPR regulations is a plus.
  • Comprehension of risk management processes and mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to conduct threat analysis for effective data protection strategies.
  • Strong communication skills, including presentation and negotiation abilities.
  • Proven capability to align business requirements with technical solutions.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and analytical with problem-solving skills.
