Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Server Support Specialist to join our team at Drift. As a Server Support Specialist, you will provide exceptional support to our servers by ensuring that all tables are properly set, clean, and complete. You will also be responsible for maintaining a high level of floor awareness and having a thorough knowledge of our menu items.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Running and Quality Control: Assist servers with food running, ensuring that plates are delivered to the correct guests in a timely manner. Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure that it meets our high standards.
  • Section Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of your section, including ensuring that all materials and areas are clean and free from clutter.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with servers and hosts to maximize seating and ensure a smooth dining experience. Practice a high level of floor awareness and clear/clean as required.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure that condiments are pre-portioned and the fridges are stocked with essentials such as milk, cream, and butter.
  • Garbage and Recycling: Empty garbage, change linen bags, and dispose of garbage and recycling in a timely manner.
  • Guest Communication: Communicate any comments or information provided by guests to servers to ensure a positive and memorable experience.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma in hospitality or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Provincial liquor certification is required.
  • High attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
  • High level of product knowledge and ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum.
