Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver with experience in flatbed operations to join our team at Varsteel Ltd. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of Goods: Safely transport goods across the country, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring timely delivery of goods and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary documentation, including bills of lading, driver logbooks, and inspection reports.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in flatbed truck driving
  • Certifications: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Communication: Proficient in using Citizens band (CB) radio and other communication systems
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring the ability to lift over 45 kg (100 lbs)
