Position Overview

The Engineering Department is essential in ensuring the seamless operation of the hotel. As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will be tasked with the upkeep and repair of the hotel's physical assets, adhering to the high standards set by Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge in terms of quality, cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and safety. A friendly demeanor and a proactive approach to guest interactions are key components of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend to guest room maintenance requests
  • Perform minor drywall repairs and painting tasks
  • Replace light bulbs as needed
  • Conduct minor plumbing repairs
  • Execute basic electrical repairs
  • Diagnose and resolve television issues
  • Address guest door lock malfunctions
  • Carry out routine inspections of mechanical rooms and equipment
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

Candidates will be considered for this position if they possess the following skills and experience:

  • Proficiency in general carpentry, both rough and finish
  • Experience in interior and exterior painting, as well as drywall repair (including patching and caulking)
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
  • Skills in flooring repair and installation, along with general home maintenance
  • A keen eye for detail and quality workmanship
