CB Canada is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to support our client in the Banking Sector.
Role Overview
- Design and maintain analytical reports for the Cyber Security Operations Team to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Engage in security compliance and auditing initiatives.
- Coordinate necessary actions across various departments for audit purposes.
- Participate in meetings to identify security vulnerabilities and risks, developing appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Architect, design, implement, and evaluate security-focused tools and services, including leading project initiatives.
- Formulate and interpret security policies and procedures.
- Create and deliver training materials, conducting general security awareness and specialized technology training.
- Assess and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Power BI for data visualization, capable of generating reports and dashboards for executive review.
- At least 2 years of practical experience using Microsoft Excel for reporting purposes.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, managing ad-hoc requests and compiling data for comprehensive reports.
- Proven knowledge of key information service standards such as SDLC, ITIL, QA/testing, Project Management, and Six Sigma.
- Strong proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft SharePoint.
- Exceptional written, presentation, and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical peers and business stakeholders at various organizational levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with external vendors.
- Capability to analyze complex situations and problems, conducting thorough research using diverse information sources to devise innovative solutions.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Effective time management and organizational skills to handle large-scale projects efficiently.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in Cybersecurity is advantageous but not mandatory.
- CISSP certification is a plus.
- Experience in the Financial Institution or Banking sector is beneficial.
