About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Precinct Properties and Facilities Management to join our team at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our parliamentary operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Planning and Management

Develop and implement strategic plans for precinct properties and facilities management, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.

Facilities Operations and Maintenance

Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of precinct properties, including renovation and restoration activities, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Project Management

Plan, execute, and oversee capital projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management, to ensure successful project delivery.

Policy Development and Implementation

Develop and implement policies and procedures for facilities management, including facilities standards and branch policies.

Team Leadership and Development

Lead and manage a team of professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure high performance and achievement of team goals.

Requirements
  1. Education and Experience

A combination of equivalent education and 7-10 years of related experience in facilities management, project management, and leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as architecture, historic preservation, construction management, engineering, or facilities management.

Skills and Knowledge

Specialized training and knowledge in architectural design, project and construction management, building technology, heritage conservation, and facility management.

Professional Certifications

Active involvement and membership in relevant professional associations, such as the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP) or the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA), is an asset.
