POSITION OVERVIEW:

The primary role of the Warehouse Associate is to facilitate the organized, prompt, and accurate movement of materials and products for selection and dispatch within the distribution center.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts counts, weighs, or measures incoming and outgoing items to verify identifying information and variety against invoices, orders, or other documentation; inspects incoming shipments for damages or shortages and reports findings to the supervisor; completes necessary paperwork for record-keeping.
  • Utilizes hand tools such as steel cutters and blades to open containers; loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or with appropriate material handling equipment.
  • Engages in routing, counting, and inspecting items during the loading and unloading of carts or trucks; delivers and returns items to designated locations within the warehouse.
  • Selects products and processes orders accurately as instructed, both manually and through a computerized warehouse management system.
  • Fulfills orders and distributes materials and supplies as requested; accurately documents transactions and maintains precise records.
  • Safely transports products and secures cargo with proper weight distribution.
  • Ensures that staged and stored products are placed in safe locations, avoiding walkways and exit doors, and stored at appropriate heights.
  • Maintains vigilance regarding safety protocols and proper handling of hazardous materials, adhering to warehouse safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Conducts inspections and maintains cleanliness in the work area.
  • Employs computerized systems to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Provides on-the-job training for fellow associates.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 - 2 years of relevant experience required.
  • Familiarity with automated or computerized warehouse management systems.
  • Understanding of record-keeping practices.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures.
  • Preferred experience in receiving, storing, and distributing supplies and equipment in a diverse warehouse environment.

SKILLS:

  • Ability to lift heavy packages and objects (up to 70 lbs).
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong task prioritization abilities.
  • Team-oriented mindset.

Compensation begins at $18.50 per hour, commensurate with experience.

The salary range provided is based on similar positions in comparable industries and the cost of labor in respective areas. Actual compensation will depend on the candidate's relevant experience and educational background. The Company reserves the right to adjust the range as market conditions evolve.
