Family Lawyer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Family Lawyer to join our team at GPAC, a leading search firm specializing in placing quality professionals across various industries. As a Family Lawyer, you will be responsible for managing assigned caseloads, drafting and responding to correspondence, and preparing pleadings, financial disclosures, and trial briefs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned caseloads and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Draft and respond to correspondence, including pleadings and financial disclosures
  • Prepare trial briefs and other legal documents
  • Conduct tele and in-person contact with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts
  • Prepare witness questions for evidentiary hearings, depositions, and trials
  • Track billable time and maintain accurate records
  • Assist supervising lawyers in all phases of the practice

Requirements:

  • Must be admitted to the BC Bar
  • 2-3+ years of experience practicing Family Law
  • Empathetic and level-headed demeanor to handle sensitive family law matters
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
