Family Lawyer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Family Lawyer to join our team at GPAC, a leading search firm specializing in placing quality professionals across various industries.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of family law cases
  • Draft and respond to correspondence related to family law matters
  • Prepare pleadings, financial disclosures, mediation, and trial briefs for family law cases
  • Engage in tele and in-person contact with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts
  • Prepare witness questions for evidentiary hearings, depositions, and trials
  • Track billable time for family law cases
  • Assist supervising lawyers in all phases of family law practice

Qualifications:

  • Must be admitted to the BC Bar
  • 2-3+ years of experience practicing family law
  • Empathetic and level-headed demeanor to handle sensitive family law matters
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
