Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess emergency scenes and patients, and provide medical care and transportation as needed
  • Operate ambulances and other emergency vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure safe and proficient patient care
  • Collaborate with community partners and healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Advanced Care Paramedic program
  • Active registration with Alberta College of Paramedics as an Advanced Care Paramedic
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
  • Valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with no more than six demerits
  • Completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (FARE) within the past six months

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in emergency medical services or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure
