POSITION OVERVIEW
The Sanitation Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of sanitation personnel and lead staff. This role focuses on managing the sanitation teams within designated areas of our clients' facilities to ensure that operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with all relevant regulations, customer requirements, and PSSI policies. The Supervisor holds full responsibility for the daily management of their assigned department or area and plays a key role in the recruitment, training, and disciplinary processes for sanitation staff. They serve as the primary point of contact for team member concerns and work collaboratively with the Assistant Site Manager, Site Manager, and Complex Manager to meet operational goals. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To qualify for the Sanitation Operations Supervisor position, candidates must be capable of fulfilling the essential duties of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Oversee the daily operations of sanitation lead personnel and laborers in specific departments of our clients' facilities.Regularly direct the work of sanitation staff by department or area.Allocate work assignments among sanitation lead personnel and laborers.Ensure that sanitation teams operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.Assess sanitation personnel for potential promotions or other status changes.Guarantee adherence to all internal company protocols, including those related to Technical Services, Human Resources, Accounting, IT, and customer service.Ensure compliance with the guidelines outlined in the PSSI Employee Handbook, Safety Handbook, and Cleaning Procedures.Assist the Site Manager and Assistant Site Manager in implementing PSSI training initiatives, including safety training and emergency response protocols.Report and investigate all incidents.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must possess the ability to read, write, perform basic arithmetic, and have six months to one year of relevant sanitation experience. A general understanding of technology, including Microsoft Excel and Word, is required. Candidates must be able to wear personal protective equipment and work in environments with significant temperature variations. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with strong communication skills, experience in recruitment and interviewing, and a focus on safety and results. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, accountable, approachable, and capable of providing excellent customer service.
