Position Overview

R&S Care is seeking a dedicated Home-Based Child Care Provider to offer nurturing support and supervision for infants and children in a residential setting. This role is crucial in fostering a safe and healthy environment for children to thrive.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 to less than 7 months in a similar role.
Work Environment
  • Non-smoking and scent-free environment.
  • Work will be conducted in the employer's home.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily care including bathing, dressing, and feeding of infants and children.
  • Implement discipline methods as requested by parents.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's daily activities and health information.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy home environment.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
  • Assist infants and children during rest periods.
  • Supervise and engage with children in a caring manner.
Certifications Required
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
Transportation and Travel
  • Public transportation options are available.
  • Travel expenses will be covered by the employer.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to handle weights up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
