Job Summary

The Facility Manager II is a key role responsible for operations and budget management, service delivery management, project management, client relationship management, health and safety, and emergency preparedness and business continuity for an assigned portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage moderate to large-sized portfolios and facilities of moderate to high complexity.
  • Develop and implement annual facility management plans, ensuring facility uptime objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate capital assets and make recommendations for maintenance, repair, and replacement.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair activities, ensuring work is completed on time, safely, and meets quality requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all legislated, corporate, and industry-related requirements and guidelines.
  • Develop and manage budgets for portfolio and project expenses, collaborating with Finance to ensure affordability and profitability.
  • Lead project delivery, liaising with stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered with minimal disruptions to facilities.

Requirements

  • College diploma or equivalent training.
  • 3-5 years or more of facility management work experience.
  • Solid facility operations and maintenance management abilities.
  • Solid proficiency with facility equipment and building systems.
  • Developed communication, influence, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Solid client relationship management abilities.
  • Solid people leadership skills.
  • Solid vendor management skills.
