About the Role

Vantage Community Services is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Youth and Family Therapist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic services to young people and their families in a structured setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain a structured setting that fosters the development of an appropriate level of personal and social functioning for each resident.
  • Develop and maintain a therapeutic relationship with youth in the program through the implementation of the Circle of Courage model.
  • Participate actively in supervisory meetings, team meetings, retreats, planning sessions, and designated in-service training.
  • Maintain appropriate records and complete behavioral assessments of youth.
  • Develop, implement, and on-going evaluate Treatment Service Action Plans.
  • Administer medication according to policy and CAC Standards.

Requirements

  • Diploma or undergraduate degree in Human Services such as; Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or a related field.
  • Experience in working with young people preferred.
  • Current Standard First Aid/Level C CPR, PIC, IRC, Valid Driver's License, and Driver's Abstract.

What We Offer

  • Annual salary range for this position is $40,380-$51,818.
  • Placement on union salary grid based on education and years of relevant experience.
  • Great benefit package including health, dental, life & disability coverage, a Registered Pension Plan with 4% employer matching and generous vacation time with 3 weeks of vacation per year to start.
