About the Role

Aecon is seeking a highly skilled EHS Advisor to join our team on the Darlington New Nuclear Project. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in promoting a healthy and safe culture within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of project-specific conventional safety and environmental management plans and procedures.
  • Train project staff on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Track and report safety-related statistics and manage Return to Work and Modified duties cases.
  • Support Human Performance program activities and assist in the development of JSA, High Hazard, Critical Lifting and Handling forms.
Requirements
  • A designation such as CHSO or CRSP.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Health and Safety within the nuclear construction industry.
  • Relevant Post Secondary education or equivalent experience in the Health and Safety field.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds and climb ladders, if required.
  • Must be comfortable with different work locations and job sites.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and to be proactive.
  • Be a champion of inclusion and diversity.
