Position Overview:
The Senior Structural Engineer will collaborate closely with the Project Manager and will be involved in a variety of responsibilities. You will be an integral part of a team that delivers engineering solutions for infrastructure projects, including bridges, buildings, and large-scale power generation facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
As a member of the TULLOCH Engineering team, your duties will include:
- Conducting design and analysis for new and existing structures, including buildings and bridges.
- Reviewing and approving technical documents such as reports, technical notes, drawings, and engineering calculations.
- Preparing plans, proposals, specifications, and necessary supporting documents.
- Creating tenders, proposals, and cost assessments.
- Performing construction inspections.
- Assisting in project management and construction oversight.
- Building and maintaining client relationships to support business development.
- Engaging in public and stakeholder consultations.
- Mentoring Engineering Interns and co-op students.
The ideal candidate will possess a P.Eng. license and have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the civil/structural consulting field. Additional qualifications include:
- Experience in bridge design is advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of Building Codes and/or a BCIN is a plus.
- Proven ability to mentor and guide team members.
- Strong decision-making skills within defined parameters aligned with business goals.
- Adaptability to modify approaches to achieve desired outcomes.
The successful candidate will hold a university degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related discipline. Furthermore, you should demonstrate:
- High motivation with a focus on results.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A valid Class G driver's license.
