Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Huntsville. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing buildings, bridges, and other structures. You will also review and approve technical deliverables, prepare plans and proposals, and perform construction inspections.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and analyze buildings, bridges, and other new and existing structures
  2. Review and approve technical deliverables, including reports, technical notes, drawings, and engineering calculations
  3. Prepare plans, proposals, specifications, supporting documents, reports, and permit applications
  4. Prepare tenders, proposals, and cost estimates
  5. Perform construction inspections
  6. Assist with project management and construction administration
  7. Liaise with clients, build client relations, and advance business development
  8. Participate in public and stakeholder consultation
  9. Oversee and mentor Engineering Interns and co-op students
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a P.Eng. licence and at least 5-10 years of experience in the civil/structural consulting industry. Bridge design experience is an asset, as is extensive Building Code knowledge and/or a BCIN. You should also have experience providing mentorship and advice to those on your team.
