Job Summary

Q-Block Computing is seeking a highly skilled Digital-Analog Electrical Engineer to join our team in Canada. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge quantum technologies in sensing, communication, and computation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and validate mixed signal electronic Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) used for quantum prototypes and laboratory experiments.
  • Apply different aspects of digital/analog hardware design under the supervision of a technical leader.
  • Convert board level requirements into a board design concept (architecture, I/O, key parts, power dissipation, software, firmware).
  • Finalize functional concept and facilitate the integration with the hardware team.
  • Complete schematic design.
  • Identify technology and design risks.
  • Manage design layout constraints, part placement and layout review, manufacturing and assembly drawing.
  • Oversee parts management including long lead items, complete BOM, and ensure part qualifications.
  • Perform SPICE circuit simulation and various design analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years professional experience in designing digital/analog, and mixed signal circuits.
Skills
  • Extensive understanding of electronic circuits and communication protocols with PCB design experience.
  • Knowledgeable about PCB manufacturing processes.
  • Good laboratory knowledge with electronic circuits and laboratory instruments such as oscilloscope, network and spectrum analyzer, arbitrary waveform generator.
  • Exposure to RF design, signal processing, and high-speed & low-noise analog circuit design.
  • Strong attention to detail, authenticity, and a sense of responsibility in all tasks.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaborative in a dynamic team environment.
