Job Description

Golderado Contracting Corp is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Construction Manager to lead our Underground Utilities team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of underground utility projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and within-budget completion of projects.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to General Foremen, Foremen, and other field staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Safety Management: Collaborate with Safety Advisors to ensure that all projects are performed in a safe and healthy work environment, in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Construction Management: Oversee the construction process, including planning, organizing, and controlling resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all projects meet the required quality standards, and that any defects or issues are promptly addressed and resolved.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure that project objectives are met and that all parties are informed of project progress.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a superintendent role, with 3-5 years of experience in underground utilities construction.
  • Certifications: Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09) Certificate, WHMIS 2015, Ground Disturbance Level II, and Leadership for Safety Excellence.
  • Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel) and proprietary software.
