Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the procurement of round wood, wood chips, and biomass for the manufacturing facility, ensuring optimal cost efficiency
  • Coordinate and negotiate the sale of sawn wood to achieve the best pricing
  • Acquire round wood, wood chips, and biomass to fulfill the manufacturing facility's requirements in terms of quantity, quality, and cost
  • Establish and maintain relationships with various suppliers
  • Manage delivery schedules for both sales and procurement
  • Contribute to the formulation of a stable and innovative procurement strategy for the facility

Professional Experience and Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in forestry
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in fiber procurement
  • Strong skills in negotiation and business analysis
  • Bilingual in French and English (both written and spoken)
  • Willingness to travel within Quebec, Ontario, and the United States
