Our client is a worldwide leader in the manufacturing of vacuum solutions, catering to a diverse range of industries and services. Currently, our client is in search of an Engineering Operations Leader to oversee their team. This role will manage resources primarily located at the Boisbriand facility, while also extending across Canada. Collaborating closely with the sales department, the focus will be on enhancing revenue streams for the systems division and the organization as a whole.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Direct the engineering, systems assembly, procurement, inventory management, and logistics teams. Provide coaching and support to supervisors.
  2. Establish clear and specific objectives for the teams that align with the company's strategic goals. Work in partnership with supervisors to implement and track action plans to ensure these objectives are met.
  3. Oversee all human, financial, and material resources within the Systems Department to guarantee quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery, while fostering competitiveness and growth in our vacuum systems and compressor offerings.
  4. Manage supply chain operations (procurement, inventory, logistics) across all business units (distribution, service, and systems) to ensure efficient logistics processes, minimize purchasing and operational costs, and maintain adequate inventory levels for growth and profitability.
  5. Assess the knowledge and skill levels of team members to promote continuous individual development.
  6. Ensure adherence to company policies within the department and uphold the organization's core values of success, customer satisfaction, and partnership.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  2. Active member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
  3. 5-6 years of management experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  4. Experience and in-depth knowledge in supply chain management, engineering team leadership, or technical trades management, ideally with a combination of these three areas.
  5. Experience and expertise in systems integration involving rotating machinery (pumping equipment).
  6. Bilingual proficiency (spoken and written) in English and French is required.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  8. Able to conduct data analysis using Microsoft Excel (including vlookup, pivot tables, slicers, etc.).
  9. Familiarity with LEAN, 5S, and Kaizen quality/efficiency programs.
