Job Title: Registered Veterinary Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, assisting with surgical procedures, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures, including preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and patient recovery
  • Conduct physical examinations, take vital signs, and collect medical histories
  • Administer medications, perform venipuncture, and collect blood samples
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans
  • Provide compassionate care to hospitalized patients and their owners
  • Assist with radiology, including taking and developing X-rays
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest veterinary techniques and technologies

Requirements:

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have:

  • A diploma or certificate in veterinary technology from an accredited program
  • Registration or certification as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in the province of Ontario
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
