About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team at BFL Canada in Montreal. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and issue monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for Realty and TSW.
  • Conduct analytical reviews of monthly and quarterly results to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement annual budgets for Realty and TSW.
  • Manage the implementation and ongoing compliance with financial and operational policies, procedures, and controls across the group.
  • Identify and mitigate present or future risks in Realty and TSW's business.
  • Collaborate with regional offices to ensure timely and consistent financial information transmission.
  • Work with other regional controllers to share best practices and ensure consistency across the organization.
  • Perform post-transaction work for acquired businesses to ensure smooth operational and financial integration.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in a business environment, preferably in a similar role or in an accounting firm.
  • Recognized Accounting Designation (CPA) and strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
