Job Title: ECE Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ECE Assistant to join our team at County Place Early Learning and Care Centre. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0-12 years.

Job Summary:

The ECE Assistant will work under the supervision of the Early Childhood Educator to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily routines, planning and implementing activities, and maintaining a clean and organized classroom.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily routines, including bath time, mealtime, and rest time
  • Plan and implement activities that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom, including setting up and putting away materials and equipment
  • Assist with supervising children during outdoor play and indoor activities
  • Communicate with parents and caregivers about their child's daily activities and progress
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the program
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Level 1 certification
  • 1-2 years of experience working with children in a childcare setting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
