Senior Cloud Solutions Architect
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to join our Information and Communications Technology (ICT) team at the University of Saskatchewan. As a strategic partner, you will play a key role in enabling research, teaching, administration, and IT infrastructure across the entire service lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, implement, and manage technology services for varied stakeholders with challenging, complex problems.
- Develop architectural and governance patterns to harmonize common needs for most USask programs.
- Analyze and translate business and technical requirements into a long-term architectural blueprint for cloud solutions and integrations primarily in AWS.
- Collaborate with research, network, infrastructure, security, and integration teams to achieve intended outcomes.
- Issue management, risk management, and reporting for the portfolio.
- Communications and change management.
- Provisioning services and developing orchestration for both pilot and production implementations.
- Participating in financial controls, vendor management, security and compliance related to cloud services.
- Driving implementations towards technology standards, industry trends, and industry best practices in support of university goals.
- Experience demonstrating progression through increasingly responsible, substantive positions involving cloud services, solution architecture, research, cybersecurity, and/or information technology.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and sound judgment.
- Effective interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities in both team and client settings.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as a member of a distributed and cross-functional team.
- Associate certification as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
