Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Coatings Specialist to join our team at Accumetal Manufacturing Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying coatings and paints to various metal products, ensuring a high-quality finish and adhering to strict safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare work areas, equipment, and materials for coating and painting operations
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to ensure accurate application of coatings and paints
  • Operate equipment such as hand-held spray guns and electrostatic applicators to apply coatings and paints
  • Select and mix paints and coatings according to specifications and manufacturer's instructions
  • Perform surface preparation methods such as masking and water blasting to ensure a smooth finish
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years or equivalent experience
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Manual dexterity and ability to handle heavy loads
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and work in a dusty and noisy environment
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a manufacturing environment with a focus on quality and safety. The work site environment is dusty, noisy, and may involve odours.
