About the Role

The Customer Authentication Platform team at Remitly Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join their team. As a key member of the Identity and Trust organization, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable, high-quality software solutions to enhance the user experience and usability of our Auth platform.

You will collaborate with product managers and other engineers to understand requirements and translate them into effective solutions. Your expertise in full stack technologies, including React, NodeJS, Go, and Java/Kotlin, will be essential in developing responsive and intuitive user interfaces that meet the needs of our global customers.

As a Software Development Engineer II, you will participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with team members to maintain code quality and standards. You will also troubleshoot and debug issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of our applications.

What You Will Do
  • Collaborate with product managers and other engineers to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, high-quality software solutions.
  • Design and implement solutions for ambiguous and complex problems using full stack technologies.
  • Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces that enhance the user experience and usability of our Auth platform.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with team members to maintain code quality and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of our applications.
What You Have
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in a team environment.
  • Comfortable working across multiple languages, microservices, technologies, and systems.
  • Experience working with Product Management and other partners such as Design.
  • Experience with CI/CD and advanced deployment strategies.
Compensation Details

The starting base salary range for this position is $112,000 - $140,000. In Canada, Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
