About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team at Smith + Andersen. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for leading electrical engineering projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage project scope, timelines, and budgets
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
  • Manage and coordinate document control, including drawings, specifications, and reports
  • Review and approve project deliverables, including calculations, drawings, and specifications
  • Coordinate with contract administration team regarding drawing reviews, contract administration, and site activities
  • Prepare and monitor project schedules, including task assignments and critical data
  • Liaise with external consultants, vendors, and clients as required
  • Support the process of accounts receivable and client meetings
Requirements
  • 10+ years of project engineering experience in electrical building services
  • Registered Engineer in the province of Nova Scotia
  • Senior C.E.T. with equivalent experience and abilities
  • Full understanding of Codes and Standards relevant for the project
  • Experience in health care facilities, including Infection Control Certification CAN/CSA Z312 and CSA Z32
  • Strong leadership qualities and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a complex environment, dealing with multiple projects and clients
  • Sound communications skills as demonstrated through client and staff relations
  • Experience working with other consultants and contractors, and coordination of major projects
  • Knowledgeable about the provincial building code, electrical code, CSA, ULC, IEEE, IES, and NFPA standards
