We are currently seeking a Senior Performance Test Engineer to join our team in Toronto. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive performance testing strategies aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement performance testing strategies aligned with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and product teams to define performance test objectives, scope, and success criteria.
  • Execute performance tests and monitor system behavior under load, stress, and endurance conditions.
  • Utilize APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace, New Relic) to monitor system performance and identify bottlenecks.
  • Analyze test results, identify performance bottlenecks, and provide detailed reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Present performance findings to stakeholders, including development and operations teams.
  • Evaluate new performance testing tools and technologies, recommending their adoption when appropriate.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of performance testing processes, scripts, and results.
Critical Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Performance Test Engineer.
  • Proficiency in JMeter, including advanced script design, execution, and reporting.
  • Experience in developing complex test plans, handling dynamic values, and parameterization.
  • Strong understanding of JMeter plugins and extensions to enhance performance testing.
  • Demonstrated experience in converting Fiddler sessions into JMeter (JMX) files.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize converted scripts for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Hands-on experience with BlazeMeter for running and analyzing large-scale performance tests.
  • Knowledge of integrating BlazeMeter with JMeter for cloud-based testing.
  • Working experience with NeoLoad and LoadRunner is an asset.
  • Ability to design, execute, and analyze performance tests using these tools.
  • Understanding of the strengths and limitations of different load testing tools.
