Key Responsibilities
- Manage U.S. corporate tax engagements and deliver strategic tax planning insights
- Prepare tax returns for diverse entities and determine tax liabilities
- Support due diligence processes for potential acquisitions by Canadian firms
- Establish new client records and offer bookkeeping assistance
- Investigate tax treaty regulations and compliance matters
- Work in tandem with the client engagement team to enhance processes
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration
- Currently enrolled in the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP)
- 1-2 years of experience in public accounting or tax services
- Familiarity with the Canadian Income Tax Act and U.S. Corporate Tax regulations
- Proficiency in accounting and tax software is advantageous
