Job Summary: Critical Care Nurse
We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team on a 0.6 FTE basis. As a Critical Care Nurse at Southlake, you will provide direct patient care, following the practice standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario and Southlake Regional Health Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered care within the scope of practice
- Function according to hospital policies and procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team members for patient care
- Assist in care planning and evaluation
- Participate in staff orientation and training
- Lead patient care coordination when required
- Utilize resources effectively and contribute to clinical pathways
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of critical care nursing experience
- Proficient in ECG interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring
- Experience in cardiac catheterization lab and procedural areas is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Initiative to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent clinical and leadership capabilities
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
- Proficient in Electronic Documentation
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse in good standing with CNO
- Current BCLS & ACLS certifications
- Completion of a recognized Critical Care Course or equivalent experience
