Job Summary: Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team on a 0.6 FTE basis. As a Critical Care Nurse at Southlake, you will provide direct patient care, following the practice standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario and Southlake Regional Health Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered care within the scope of practice
  • Function according to hospital policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members for patient care
  • Assist in care planning and evaluation
  • Participate in staff orientation and training
  • Lead patient care coordination when required
  • Utilize resources effectively and contribute to clinical pathways

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of critical care nursing experience
  • Proficient in ECG interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring
  • Experience in cardiac catheterization lab and procedural areas is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Initiative to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent clinical and leadership capabilities
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care
  • Proficient in Electronic Documentation

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse in good standing with CNO
  • Current BCLS & ACLS certifications
  • Completion of a recognized Critical Care Course or equivalent experience
