Position Overview: The successful candidate will oversee the operation of boilers and related systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment as directed by supervisory staff. Shift work is a requirement for this position.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Fourth Class Standardized Power Engineers certificate recognized by the NS Department of Labour and Advanced Education.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in the operation and maintenance of high-pressure steam plants following certification.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset, with a preference for French.

Work Schedule: This is a permanent, full-time role requiring 75 hours of work bi-weekly.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage for this position is $28.79. Successful candidates may have access to a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health and dental coverage, travel assistance, long-term disability, life insurance, and a defined benefit pension plan.
