Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, bulldozers, and graders to perform excavation, grading, and landscaping tasks.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Conduct regular maintenance and repair tasks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
  • Pre-Operational Checks: Perform pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition before use.
  • Accident Reporting: Prepare and submit accident reports as required.
  • Minor Repairs: Perform minor repairs to equipment as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy equipment operation.
  • Certifications: Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification.
Work Environment

As a Heavy Equipment Operator at Silver Star Sod & Landscaping Ltd, you will work outdoors in various weather conditions, including hot and dusty environments. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while operating heavy equipment.
