Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage pricing and merchandising expertise to implement effective solutions within the eCommerce platform.
  • Utilize a data-driven methodology to define, prioritize, and validate the product roadmap and backlog, integrating various data sources and customer insights to enhance online user experiences and engagement with the WestJet brand.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships by prioritizing high-impact requests and leading monthly discussions to provide updates on product performance, align roadmaps, and ensure stakeholder involvement with the eCommerce platform.
  • Oversee comprehensive product initiatives, including research and discovery, user flow development, wireframing, and continuous optimization using Agile methodologies.
  • Coordinate team deliverables and timelines for projects, resolving conflicting priorities, identifying risks, and developing mitigation strategies as necessary.
  • Establish key performance indicators for digital initiatives and assess their impact while championing digital channel performance.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and industry trend assessments to recommend and implement enhancements where applicable.
  • Contribute to the strategic vision for WestJet regarding your product(s).
  • Build and maintain relationships with business stakeholders to gather precise requirements aligned with business goals, manage expectations, and secure approvals on deliverables.
  • Collaborate with various departments to identify and develop solutions for guest challenges and growth opportunities.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Completed Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Technical/Business/Science)
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in digital or emerging technology
  • Proven experience managing an eCommerce platform, particularly in pricing and merchandising
  • Experience with responsive design for a large consumer base
  • Leadership experience in cross-functional teams within an Agile framework
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including executives
  • Proficiency in defining project scope and managing key deliverables for large-scale initiatives
  • Familiarity with software development processes and project management principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience in conversion optimization testing
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Proven experience in backlog management, user story development, and prioritization
  • A history of fostering transparency, trust, and collaboration across all organizational levels
  • A passion for continuous learning about best practices and customer experiences
  • Willingness to mentor junior Product Owners within the team
  • Advanced knowledge in the following areas (preferred):
    • User Experience in responsive design
