Job Summary

The Registered Dietitian - Facility Based is a key member of the healthcare team, responsible for providing nutritional care and counseling to patients, residents, and clients. This role requires a strong understanding of nutrition science and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct nutrition assessments and develop personalized nutrition care plans
  • Provide education and counseling on healthy eating habits and nutrition-related topics
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement nutrition-related policies and procedures
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest nutrition research and best practices
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree in Human Ecology, major in Human Nutritional Sciences or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited dietetic internship program
  • Membership in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Manitoba
  • Province of Manitoba Class 5 Drivers License, and access to a personal vehicle to provide service within Prairie Mountain Health
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
