Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Optical Technician to join our team at EssilorLuxottica Group. As a key member of our surfacing department, you will be responsible for carrying out various tasks, including operating the blocking machine, applying protective tape to lenses, and fine and polishing lenses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize the blocking machine to accurately secure blocks to lenses
  • Operate taping equipment to apply protective tape to lenses
  • Hand wash and dry lenses, followed by a brief cosmetic inspection
  • Grasp lenses with a de-blocking cup and strike it against the table to remove blocks from lenses
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in English (ability to read, write, and speak fluently)
  • Manufacturing experience a plus
  • Ability to meet measurable standards in a dynamic production environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
