Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Project Manager to join our team at the City of Hamilton. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as managing projects related to facilities and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain environmental, health, and safety compliance programs
  • Manage projects related to facilities and compliance, including design and construction
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including operations and other departments
  • Research and review EHS law and related City By-Laws to identify potential gaps in compliance
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of an integrated management system
  • Supervise field operations of contractors and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
  • Provide technical compliance and design advisory services to other departments
Qualifications
  • Must have a degree or diploma in Engineering or Building Sciences or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or OACETT (CET/C.Tech) designation is an asset
  • Extensive experience in the development, maintenance, and monitoring of environmental and compliance programs
  • Knowledge of TSSA, CSA, O. Reg 278/05, and other related standards and legislation
  • Well-developed interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills
  • Formal site inspection experience, including field experience in EHS auditing
