Pembina Hills School Division Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Assistant to join our team at Pembina North Community School.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide support and encouragement to students with diverse learning needs in a Grade classroom. This is a 5-day/week position, with 7 hours/day, following the school calendar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with behavior difficulties
  • Assist students with developmental delays
  • Help students with early literacy and numeracy skills
  • Work collaboratively with the school team in an inclusive environment
  • Provide a positive and non-judgmental attitude towards students

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting students with behavior difficulties
  • Experience with children on the Autism Spectrum (an asset)
  • Experience supporting students with developmental delays
  • Understanding of childhood development (a preference)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
