About the Role

Johnston Group Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead to join our Application Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of developers to deliver high-quality web applications that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of developers to design, develop, and deploy web applications using agile development practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent practices and delivery of high-quality applications.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, project plans, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Work closely with the Manager to identify and prioritize project requirements, and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, with at least 1 year of experience leading a development team.
  • Strong technical skills in web application development, including experience with agile development practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze problems and recommend corrective action.
  • Experience in the group insurance industry would be an asset.
