Job Title: Canadian Payroll Support Lead

At Trane Technologies, we're committed to creating innovative climate solutions for a sustainable world. As a Canadian Payroll Support Lead, you'll play a critical role in delivering support for our Canadian operations to implement and drive Trane Technologies Payroll Service strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze all incoming time information, input, and balance payroll data.
  • Process transactions and payroll files in coordination with third-party vendors to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Coordinate and review third-party remittances, including pension, taxes, workers' compensation, and union payments.
  • Audit pension contribution files and ensure demographic data changes are made in payroll and in recordkeeper's system.
  • Audit year-end tax forms.
  • Track benefit, pension, and union contributions for leave of absence payrolls.
  • Audit and resolve payroll inquiries.
  • Create and provide recurrent Payroll/HR reports, metrics, and forecasting per customer and support requirements.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree (preferred BS) in Information Systems, HR, Finance, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years functional experience in Payroll and at least 3 years' experience working with PeopleSoft or other related HRMS systems (Oracle, SAP, Workday).
  • Experience with multi-province payrolls and related provincial legislations.
  • PeopleSoft/Workday experience.
  • Able to work on multiple projects with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to manage information in a confidential manner.
  • Advanced level MS Office skills are required; including experience with SharePoint.
  • Payroll certifications (PCP) - Payroll Compliance Professional - Preferred.
  • Familiarity with Canadian tax laws.
  • Bilingual highly preferred.
