Operational Risk Manager – Cybersecurity Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Risk Manager to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. As a key member of our Risk Management Department, you will play a critical role in evaluating and mitigating cybersecurity risks across our organization.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate cybersecurity threats.
- Collaborate with our Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and IT teams to establish and maintain robust cybersecurity controls.
- Develop and implement information security risk management programs, utilizing industry-standard frameworks such as FAIR.
- Provide independent assurance and validation of cybersecurity controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify emerging cyber threats and develop risk scenarios to guide the improvement of our cybersecurity posture.
- Lead and support remediation efforts, working closely with our 1st line-of-defense teams.
- Develop and roll-out tools for aggregating and surveilling cybersecurity risk, data risk, and technology risk.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
- Strong understanding of financial services and cybersecurity laws, regulations, and frameworks (NYSDFS, ECB, GDPR, GLBA, etc.).
- Experience in assessing technology controls and developing risk management strategies.
- Familiarity with common cybersecurity frameworks and standards (NIST SP 800-53, NIST CSF, Mitre Attack, FFIEC CAT, CSC Top 20, COBIT, ISO 27000 series).
- Previous experience in cybersecurity operations and relevant security design knowledge.
- Background in IT risk assessment, IT audit, and information security management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead by influence.
