Job Overview:

The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations and upkeep of our Fertilizer Blending Facilities. This role involves managing a dedicated team and ensuring the facility operates efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of full-time staff and seasonal employees during peak periods.
  • Ensure optimal operation, productivity, and maintenance of site facilities.
  • Conduct training for new hires and ensure ongoing training for existing staff.
  • Promote adherence to safety protocols and actively engage in health and safety initiatives.
  • Maintain equipment to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance schedule for blending equipment.
  • Collaborate with management to align operations with budgetary expectations.
  • Coordinate activities of contractors and seasonal personnel.
  • Oversee inventory management processes including receiving, tracking, and transfers.
  • Manage production lines and scheduling for small and tote bag operations.

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Trade Certificate in electrical, mechanical, or welding/fabrication is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in site operations, maintenance, and supervisory roles.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure compliance.
  • Self-driven with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective training, coaching, and mentoring abilities to foster team development.
  • Commitment to safety and promoting a culture of safe work practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs safely.
