Northern Legendary Construction Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team. This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week and proficiency in English.
Qualifications- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
- Experience: 3 to 5 years in a similar role or equivalent experience
- Install and maintain electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
- Diagnose and repair electrical components as needed.
- Conduct tests on electrical and electronic equipment for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
- Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices.
- Perform maintenance, repairs, installations, and testing of switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors.
- Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical and electronic control systems and related devices.
- Interpret and apply electrical code specifications.
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
Supervise a small team of 1 to 2 individuals.
Certifications Required- Industrial Electrician Red Seal Certificate
- Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
A valid driver's license is required for this position.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements- Ability to perform manual tasks requiring dexterity and attention to detail.
- Capability to distinguish between colors and handle physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, as well as bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Ability to handle heavy loads.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and sound judgment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
