Grand & Toy is seeking a highly skilled Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our distribution center, you will be responsible for guiding and supervising activities to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and monitor activities to establish labor requirements and allocate resources effectively.
- Monitor performance and identify system issues to implement corrective actions.
- Communicate and assist associates to achieve unit goals and targets.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and involve associates in problem-solving initiatives.
- Establish and measure operational targets and achievements for the unit.
- Plan, guide, and evaluate associates to optimize results.
- Provide input in hiring new associates and maintain customer service interactions.
- Liaise with other departments and locations to ensure seamless operations.
- Post-secondary diploma in Distribution/Logistics management or related field.
- Three to five years of experience in a large distribution center environment.
- Two to three years of supervisory experience within a unionized facility.
- Proactive solution-oriented supervisor with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
