Manufacturing Process Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering professional to join our team at Vistaprint. As a key member of our production operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of manufacturing processes and systems that drive efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor equipment performance to identify opportunities for improvement and implement upgrades to enhance machine reliability, maintainability, and scalability.
- Evaluate, inspect, maintain, design, analyze, and improve new and existing equipment to meet capacity demands.
- Support the evaluation of new production processes, monitor modifications and upgrades, and troubleshoot existing processes.
- Audit processes to verify they are working at the optimum level, throughput rate, and quality rate to meet supply needs.
- Implement systems to detect and prevent quality defects and functionality of equipment.
- Conduct safety risk assessments, including hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies, to ensure the health and safety of company staff and the wider community.
- Partner with associated Vistaprint plants and engineering facilities to ensure rapid adoption and implementation of best practices.
- Collaborate with Quality, Health & Safety, Supply Chain, Logistics, Facility, and Project Engineering teams to implement changes or upgrades.
- Develop cost reduction initiatives and analyze equipment malfunctions and failures using root-cause analysis (i.e., 5-why) and develop corrective actions.
- Support the maintenance organization in troubleshooting equipment issues and answer questions or concerns related to equipment performance.
- Provide job assistance and training for employees as needed.
- BASc or equivalent in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
- 3-5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a lean high-production manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, machinery, material handling, conveyance packaging, and logistics.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to demonstrate task management and timeline control.
- Preference will be given to those with an excellent manufacturing or process engineering background, a superior mechanical aptitude, and proven troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels and positions within the organization.
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Google Workspace, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
