Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively manage QA operations and team members.
  • Oversee QA compliance systems, including in-process testing, out-of-specification (OOS) management, calibration, specifications, raw material assessment, non-conformance (NC) handling, corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), audits, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure that batch documentation (manufacturing, packaging, and quality control testing records) is complete, reviewed, and compliant with specifications prior to product release.
  • Collaborate with various internal departments to facilitate the launch of new products by monitoring performance and product quality to maintain control.
  • Coordinate Non-Conformance Investigations (NCI) and CAPA reporting, including investigation, approval, and trend analysis.
  • Implement and regularly execute programs such as Environmental Monitoring, Pest Control, Temperature and Humidity Monitoring, Air Quality Sampling, Potable Water Testing, and Allergen Testing.
  • Support and manage staff working across 24/7 schedules.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Over 5 years of progressive experience in the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or food sectors, particularly in quality assurance, with a preference for management experience.
  • Strong expertise in GMP compliance activities and experience with compliance audits. Previous FDA audit experience is a significant advantage.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including RRSP contributions, healthcare, health and personal spending accounts, wellness days, employee appreciation events, and an annual allowance for company products in addition to employee discounts.
  • The chance to work with dedicated professionals and the ability to influence and lead improvements within a company focused on continuous advancement.
