Project Manager Job Description

R.W. Tomlinson is currently seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee the successful completion of construction projects in the Kingston and surrounding area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of construction projects, including costs, schedule, quality, safety, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with the project team to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Owner's representatives and Contract Administrators to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with OHSA regulations and company safety protocols.
  • Manage contract changes, approvals, and invoicing.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Civil Engineering, CET, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6-10 years of industry experience in estimation and project management for large infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in sewer and underground work is an asset.
  • Certifications in project management, such as CPM or PMP, are considered an asset.
Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced work environment with tight deadlines.
  • Working on project construction sites or in an office setting.
  • May require working nights and weekends, depending on contract schedule requirements.
